Private Pay

Seniors that decide to go into long term care communities such as Assisted Livings, Independent Living, and Memory Care have the option for private pay. All senior living communities accept private pay and vary in rates, which can range from $850 – $7,920 per month on average. The rates often depend on the level of care involved, choice of room or studio style, and location. Allow our Community Connectors to speak with you about this option and inform you on the inner details of each community or care model. We match the service to your desire. By analyzing location, price, social needs and level of care we guarantee a perfect match.

The State of Florida has several programs created to provide Medicaid to low income individuals who are either age 65 and older or disabled. This would be referred to as SSI-Related Medicaid. If Medicaid is needed for LTC services such as Assisted Living or Home Care, the individual must meet certain qualifications and provide additional documentation. Individuals eligible for full Medicaid can be enrolled in Social Security’s Extra Help with Part D benefits the remainder of that year, which can also help with care cost. Medicaid can help supplement cost and ease the financial burden of private pay.

Typically, Medicare does not cover the costs of Assisted Living or in long-term care communities. Medicare is a national government-funded health insurance that all American receive once they turn 65. Medicare can cover short-term rehab stays at a Nursing Home after a hospital discharge or pay for in-home therapy for qualified individuals. Those looking for long-term care needs, Medicare coverage may not solely be the best option.
